How does John-Wyatt Williams top what he's done over the last three weeks for Monterey?
Simple.
Don't wait until the second quarter to unleash the tailback. Williams has 652 yards rushing in his last two games -- but only 14 yards in the first quarter.
The health of Jack Baird could be a concern for Palma. He had stitches in his hand last week in a win over San Benito. Palma and St. Francis were two of the stingiest defenses in the CCS.
No team seems to enjoy getting out of Salinas more than the Cowboys, who are 3-0-1 outside the city limits. Three of those games came against playoff teams. Milpitas is the defending CCS Division I champion.
Daniel Breaux didn't have a carry until the fourth quarter last week for Greenfield. Two weeks ago he sat out because of a concussion. Greenfield may use four different backs equally. But no player creates more headaches for opponents than Breaux.
