I'm not sure Monterey wanted a rematch. I know North County did. The Condors will have to throw the ball to have success. Expect a heavy dose of John-Wyatt Williams for Monterey. If he ever gets untracked in the first quarter, look out.
North County has to be concerned about the high ankle sprain of tailback Michael Lopez. He was noticeably limping in limited time in last week's playoff game. Lopez is also the heart of the defense with five interceptions. Remember, Monterey burned North County for two long touchdown passes in the first meeting.
Half Moon Bay has some fire power to match up with Carmel. But no team has had an answer to the Padres potent passing attack over the last nine weeks. Devin Pearson picks apart defenses.
Salinas is in the Division I semifinals for the third straight year. Road trips outside Salinas have seen the Cowboys go 4-0-1. But the last time Salinas faced an offense that threw the ball as well as Piedmont Hills was 10 weeks ago against Seaside. That didn't go so well.
