Carmel gets accused of running up the score. It produced a season high 63 points on Friday.
But Greenfield manufactured 73 without its best player. Monterey racked up 62. Salinas scored 49. Palma 42.
I guarantee none of those coaches were trying to pile it on.
It's not running up the score when backups are playing. You can't ask a backup to take a knee in the third quarter.

The difference is that Anderson calls timeouts late in already decided games to score more TDs and then go for 2. Either you are willfully blind to this or simply are not paying attention. The more you feel the need to defend Anderson, the more you make the case against him.
You keep talking about one game. Perhaps you should speak with coach Anderson and ask him why he did that. Because the Stevenson head coach has said he had no problem with it.
