There is a chance Herm Edwards could be coaching again next year.
Not in San Francisco or Oakland, but rather in Palo Alto.
When Mike Singletary is fired at the end of the year, or maybe Monday if the 49ers lose today to Oakland, look for the 49ers to go after Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh.
That would create an opening on The Farm. Edwards has always had a desire to be a head coach in college.
In fact, his first coaching job was as a defensive backs coach at San Jose State.
