Off to the programs best start in school history, CSU-Monterey Bay earned a No. 5 ranking in the West Regionals for the first time.
The significance in this is that the top eight teams in the West Regional rankings at the end of the year advance to the NCAA Division II West Regional Tournament.
The Otters, who have wins over three nationally ranked Division II teams this season, are also ranked No. 24 in the nation.
