If new North County girls volleyball coach Lauren Stupek's name sounds familiar, it's because there is a link to the past with her family at North County.
Stupek, who accepted the Condors volleyball coaching position this month, is the daughter of former North County football coach Sonny Stupek.
Stupek coached the Condors to prominence between 1981-87, guiding them to league titles in the Mission Trail Athletic League and Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League.
Lauren Stupek is the volleyball programs third new coach in three years.
