Growing pains at Marina

Apparently there is growing concern at Marina about surviving its first season of 11-man football.
With its numbers having shrunk into the mid 20's after more than 40 came out for the first practice, Marina has dropped its non-league games with Leigh and Santa Clara.
It will still host Harker of San Jose on Sept. 11.
While I believe it is the right move for a program littered with freshmen and sophomores, the timing isn't good.
