Two years at Hartnell College not only extended Megan Land's basketball career, it has enabled the Salinas graduate to earn an athletic scholarship to the University of Maine.
Land will be joining a program coming off a Sunrise Conference title. A superior shooter from beyond the 3-point arc, she will provide the Bengals with an outside presence.
A three-year starter at Salinas, the 5-foot-7 Land averaged nearly 10 points a game last year for Hartnell.
