Now what?
The Giants failed to pull the trigger on acquiring former A's outfielder Matt Holliday, who is on his way to St. Louis.
Management needed to make a move, the right move, if for no other reason than to provide a spark for the stretch run.
Youngsters like Pablo Sandoval, Travis Ishikawa and Nate Schierholtz are going to hit a wall in September.
I realize no one expected the Giants to contend this year. But they are. These opportunities don't come around every year.
Status quo isn't going to work.
