Lets put Sammy Sosa's alleged positive test in 2003 for a banned substance aside for a moment.
Or his corked bat incident.
Was the former Cubs slugger a Hall of Famer to begin with?
He did hit 60 or more homers three times and 40 or more seven times. But he also struck out 2,703 times and has a career .273 average.
Eventually, the Hall's doors may open for Sosa. But it's at least a decade away.
