Softball coaches being tormented

First it was the Monterey softball coach on the hot seat. Now a few parents are trying to chase out coaches at Carmel and Salinas and Pacific Grove and Gonzales.
Is it possible that all these coaches are that bad? Or are parents being allowed two much power? At least one of those coaches has already stepped down.
But at some point, there is not going to be anyone left to coach. Maybe we should ban high school softball and turn it into a club sport. That way you pay for what you get.

This is a shame. High school softball is supposed to be fun...less pressure than club softball. Girls get to play with their classmates, see their name in the paper, etc. Exciting if they make it to CCS, but nothing like club where it is all business and all about getting scholarships. Even though Monterey County softball players have won softball scholarships and it is announced by what high school they attend, make no mistake, high school softball does not get you recruited to the next level. Having said that, high school coaches perform a great service to kids who do not play at the club level and just want to represent their school and have fun. It IS just a game.
