Former Gonzales High slugger Natalie Basaldua is hitting .400 for the William Jessup softball team.
All of Basaldua's hits in the first week of the season have been for extra bases. She also has a sacrifice fly and two runs batted in.
Last year Basaldua hit .390 for William Jessup, driving in 17 runs. She was a four-year starter at Gonzales.
