St. Francis-Alvarez boy hoops

Thanks to St. Francis, the Eagles find themselves back in first place in the Mission Division with four other teams that have just one loss.
One of them is the Sharks, who knocked Pacific Grove from the unbeaten ranks on Wednesday and are quietly 12-3 overall.
Alvarez has rattled off three straight wins since a league opening road loss to Pacific Grove, getting a boast with the return of Devin Foster from an ankle injury.
As Foster works his way back into game shape, four different players have taken turns leading the team in scoring, giving the Eagles multiple offensive options.
Efrain Perez dropped in 17 points the other night, as did Ven Limosnero last week. Isaiah Rodriguez has also been productive along with Jacob Gomez.
Scoring has never been a concern for Alvarez. Since giving up 72 points in a non-league loss, it has held its last four opponents to an average of 52.1 points a night.
Three players are averaging over 10 points a game for the Sharks, including Andrew Seymour and his 13 points a night. Their only league loss was a one-point decision to San Benito.
St. Francis is 7-1 on the road this year, with the one lose being at a mutual site. Two years ago it won the Northern California Division V title.
