Pacific Grove-St. Francis girls hoops

Falling from the unbeaten ranks in league has not taken away the significance of tonight's battle with St. Francis of Watsonville for the Breakers.
In part, because Pacific Grove can regain a share of first place in the Cypress Division with a win on the road over the 3-0 Sharks.
The Breakers (2-1) should be back at full strength for tonight's mid-season showdown. Both of their league wins this year have come on the road.
Wendy Porzig is coming off a 23-point, eight steal effort for Pacific Grove in a two-point setback to Soledad while Tati Ruiz dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Porzig has been among the teams leading scorers all season along with Parker Llantero and Lyndsey Llantero.
A perennial playoff team with three CCS titles while a member of the SCCAL, the Sharks have won their first three league games behind sharpshooter Janessa Yniguez.
St. Francis has been battle tested in league. Three of its last four games have been decided by six points or less.
