North Salinas boys soccer

Since enduring a stretch in which they were winless in four straight games, the Vikings have rattled off five consecutive wins -- including their first four in the Mission Division.
All of a sudden, North Salinas looks more like the team that won a league title last year. Dating back to last winter, it is unbeaten in its last nine league games.
Over the last five games, North Salinas has outscored teams 10-2, with Bryan Mendoza producing a game winning goal in last Monday's 1-0 win over Gilroy.
Defense has carried the Vikings as goalie Santiago Cervantes has recorded four shutouts between the pipes, including the teams last two games.
Even when North Salinas went 0-2-2 against four Gabilan Division teams, it battled, playing Alvarez and unbeaten Soledad to draws
Production has come from five different players as Eduardo Rubio has four goals while Ricardo Diaz has two goals and a pair of assists.
