Jenna Garcia has gotten off to a strong start this year for the Simon Fraser women's wrestling team in Canada.
Wrestling this season at 135 pounds, the former Notre Dame standout is coming off a second place finish at the Menlo College Women's Open.
In four tournaments this year, the 5-foot-1 Garcia has finished no lower than third for Simon Fraser, which is in British Columbia, Canada.
Garcia won over 100 matches in four years for the Spirits, including three Central Coast Section wrestling titles.
Because Notre Dame did not have a wrestling team, Garcia trained with Alvarez High, finishing fourth as a senior at the state championships.
