5. Salinas: May have played its best first half of the year last Friday.
6. Alvarez: Showdown with Pacific Grove Tuesday for first place.
7. Palma: Strong second half in a loss to Salinas is something to build off of.
8. North County: Chasing perfection this year in the Cypress Division.
9. St. Francis: Has become a player in the Mission Division.
10. Christopher: Could be a threat in the second half in the Mission.
