CSU-Monterey Bay's inaugural Hall of Fame class will include former Alvarez High softball standout Ashley Trotter.
The former catcher played for the Otters between 2006-2009, and was the captain of their first California Collegiate Athletic Association softball title team.
Eight athletes from eight different sports, two coaches and a team were selected, including the 2011 men's golf team, who captured the schools first Division II national championship.
Former CSUMB women's basketball standout Dana Andrews was inducted. Having played between 2006-2009, she is the school's all-time leading scorer.
Former Otters All-American golfer Cicillia Chudivan is headed to the Hall. Playing between 2007-2010, she is the schools winningest golfer (.907).
Rheann Fall, an All-American volleyball player in 2011 and the all-time career kills leader, was chosen along with Chelsea Brown, the school's career record holder for goals and points in women's water polo.
One-time San Benito product Brian Haggett, who earned academic All-American honors in baseball in 2013 at CSUMB, is being inducted along with former Otters men's basketball standout Devougn Lamont.
Eric Uppman is part of the class of 2019 for cross country, having captained CSUMB to its first conference title in 2001.
Former athletic directors and coaches Bill Trumbo and Bobbi Bonace are being enshrined. Trumbo oversaw the move from NAIA to Division II while Bonace started up the women's basketball program.
