Mt. Madonna-Notre Dame volleyball

Central Coast Section Division V finals
Saturday's  match
No. 2 Mt. Madonna vs. No. 1 Notre Dame at Watsonville High, 3 p.m.
The Hawks are in the finals for the third time in five years, the second time against Notre Dame, who beat them in the 2014 Division V finals in three sets.
Last season Mt. Madonna fell to Santa Catalina in the section finals, but rebounded to reach the State Northern California Division V finals before succumbing to San Ramon in five sets.
Among those back from last years team are outside hitters Paola Jacobs and Mara Peruzzi, who have combined for nearly 600 kills this season.
Notre Dame, who finished fourth in the Gabilan Division, has yet to be tested in the postseason with a pair of sweeps behind setter Spencer Hagenbuch.
The senior has spread the ball around the net to the likes of Meghan Amaral and Logan Riggenbach, while Corrine Sargenti has become a force defensively in the front row.
The Spirits have been solid in the back row with defensive specialist Aleaha Huihui-Martinez, and when Riggenbach slides back on rotation.
Notre Dame and Mt. Madonna have not faced each other since the 2014 CCS title match.
The Hawks, who won a state Division V title in 2007, have not won a section title since 2009.
