MPC-Reedley football

Saturday's game
MPC (5-3) at Reedley (8-0), 1 p.m.
The Tigers have steamrolled through their first eight games, with just one game being decided by 10 points or less -- 31-24 over Cabrillo.
Reedley has the most dangerous player in the conference in Randall Johnson, who has 2,025 passing yards and 18 touchdowns, and 522 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.
The Lobos kept their postseason and conference title hopes alive last week, snapping a three-game skid with a 61 point uprising against previously unbeaten Hartnell.
San Benito grad Hunter Nye is putting together one of the best rushing seasons in Lobos history with 1,170 yards through eight games. He has scored a combined 15 touchdowns.
Quarterback Christopher Lubinsky is coming off a career effort for MPC, having thrown for over 400 yards and five touchdowns last week.
Six of Caleb Countryman's 20 catches this fall have gone for touchdowns for MPC. Isaiah Kearney has a team high 41 catches for 710 yards while Hayden Stachelek has become a factor.
Raymond Wingate is among the state leaders in sacks for MPC with 10, while Dalton Lykins has a team high 61 tackles and Denzel Hayes four interceptions.
Reedley has forced 21 turnovers this year, but has also turned the ball over 21 times. The Lobos have created 15 turnovers, making them plus-two in turnover ratio.
Both these teams are averaging over 41 points a game. Last year the two teams produced 74 points in a 42-32 Lobos win.
MPC has struggled on the road this year at 1-2, with its only win coming against winless Gavilan.
