Sam Shaffer was named to the Junior College all-state volleyball team for the Panthers.
The Salinas High graduate compiled 371 kills and 254 digs this past fall for the Panthers, propelling them to a 26-6 overall record.
Shaffer was also chosen to the Coast Conference first team along with teammates Megan Gonzalez and Jahvanah Marinelli.
Gonzalez, a Carmel grad, finished with 221 kills, 420 assists and 178 digs while Marinelli had 522 assists and 204 digs
The Panthers Nhean Marquez and Alxa Crespo were second team selections, along with MPC's Alyssa Carroll and Sharon Lampreda.
