The final vote doesn't come until Dec. 4.
Yet, it appears the only significant move in question is whether to bump Seaside from the Gabilan Division down to the Mission Division next fall.
This shouldn't even be a debate based on the Spartans 1-9 record last year.
The problem is no one is coming up to take their place. Meaning the remaining seven schools in the Gabilan Division would have to find another non-league game.
That might be a sticking point with the vote.
What should pass is Monterey moving into the Mission Division and Watsonville moving down to the Cypress.
Gonzales is ticketed to move up to the Cypress Division along with Soquel, with Pacific Grove and St. Francis candidates for the Santa Lucia Division.
Carmel is not on either proposal to move up.

Why isnt Carmel moving up ?!!!
Why doesn't Palma play in the West Catholic League with the other private schools?
Thank you for the insight, John. Keep up the good work!
