Despite no preseason, the Pirates are 3-0, having outscored the opposition 46-16 as they look to snap a six-game losing streak to Santa Catalina that dates back to 2010.
Tess Franscioni is averaging six goals a game for Stevenson, while Josie Ertl has been outstanding in goal.
Santa Catalina's only setback was to Gilroy, who is also undefeated. Prior to that, it had outscored its first two league opponents 42-10.
Abbey Fisher, who produced 77 goals last fall for the Cougars, has 17 in three games this year while freshman Whitney Allen has 10 goals.
Emma Underdown, who manufactured 47 goals last year as a freshman for Santa Catalina, leads the team in steals with 21.
