Burlingame-Pacific Grove softball

Central Coast Section Division II Playoffs
Wednesday's game
No. 13 Burlingame (14-12) at No. 4 Pacific Grove (18-7), 4 p.m.
 The Panthers, who finished in a tie for fifth in the Peninsula Bay Division, come into the playoffs having rattled off five straight wins.
 Kailey O'Connor is the heart of the offense for Burlingame, hitting .453 with a team high 23 runs batted in. In the circle, she has a 1.85 earned run average with 95 strikeouts.
 Pacific Grove went 6-3 down the stretch, with all three losses coming from MTAL champion Santa Catalina.
 No one has put together a more impressive resume this spring than Florida Atlantic University bound Danielle Pasquariello, who is hitting over .540 with 49 runs batted in.
 The Pacific Grove senior has also hit nine homers, with 26 of her 41 hits going for extra bases. She has also been walked 14 times.
 Parker Llantero has posted 18 wins this year for the Breakers, to go along with 30 hits at the plate. Vada Courtney has 38 hits while Lauren Coppla has recorded 35.
