Bella Vista-Alisal boys soccer

Northern California Division II Semifinals
Thursday's game
No. 4 Bella Vista (16-7-4) at No. 1 Alisal (17-2-4), 4 p.m.
Don't be mislead by the Broncos mediocre record. Since starting the year 3-6, they have gone 13-1-4, capturing a SAC Joaquin Section title last week.
Bella Vista isn't a offensive dominating team, having scored just 35 goals all season. But the defense has allowed just 19 -- five in its last 15 games.
Ten different players have scored for the Broncos, with Andres Maldonado having scored nine goals this season and Matt Dulong producing nine assists.
State ranked most of the season, the Trojans are lead by Gabilan Division Player of the Year Angel Amezcua, who has racked up 17 goals this season, including the game winner against Galt.
Amezcua also shares the team lead in assists with Joel Garcia, while Carlos Pacheco has produced nine goals and seven assists.
The Trojans defense rose to the occasion in their Northern California opener, surviving a late charge from Galt to extend their season
