What the Eagles do have is a postseason win, having opened the Division IV tournament Tuesday with a 60-45 win over Terra Nova.
And Harker also has confidence going into tonight's second round against Pacific Grove, who had a first round bye.
The Breakers (17-7) can not afford to be looking ahead to a possible third meeting with Carmel on Saturday in the quarterfinals.
The two teams have history, having met in the 2015 quarterfinals with Pacific Grove posting a 52-45 win. In 2013, Harker knocked them out of the playoffs in the second round with a 64-56 win.
Harker, who finished eighth in the West Bay League, was one of eight teams from its league to make the postseason. It closed the year with a three-game winning streak.
The Breakers appeared to have caught their second wind after a second half slid that saw them suffer two straight losses in the Mission Trail Athletic League for the first time in four years.
Four players are averaging over eight points a game, including Jalen Killian, who sits at 11.2. Jack Sendell has been a sharpshooter on the outside while Ian Sinclair Fox is a presence in the paint.
Sophomore Josh Cryns and Tyler Poppino have not missed a game, and have been contributors to a balance attack for Pacific Grove.
