Seaside-North County football

Friday's game
Seaside (2-2) at North County (0-4), 7:30 p.m.
Was it the hangover effect that often occurs after an emotional game over its rival a week earlier?
Because the 55 points the Spartans gave up last week to Scotts Valley was nearly as many as they had given up in their first three games (61).
It was a reminder that the Spartans are still a young team in transition, as is North County, who has struggled to score points this season.
The Condors produced their first points of the first half last week, with Jordan Graves accounting for both scores. In fact, he's had a hand in all three touchdowns this year.
More carries may be in order for tailback Keishawn Robinson. Seaside is undefeated when he rushes for over 100 yards, winless when he doesn't.
Playing from behind has been a thorn in the Condors side all year as they have been outscored 57-0 in the first quarter this year.
Dating back to last season, North County is trying to snap a six-game losing streak. Both of these teams play on natural grass -- one of only seven teams left in the county that do so.
