The Gen Gimmanco Foundation has awarded scholarships to graduating high school athletes that will be continuing their careers this season at the collegiate level.
Among them is Carmel flanker William Kehoe, who will play football this fall at the University of San Diego.
Ryan Reynolds will play football at Gavilan College while William Samples is headed to Humboldt State. State meet qualifier Paul Koenig will continue his track career at Hartnell College.
Jessica Matthews, a four-year starter in basketball at Pacific Grove, will continue at Cornell College in Iowa.
Emily Woodward will pursue her golf career at MPC while Haley Martin will play volleyball at Hartnell and Mayra Munoz-Garcia will suit up for soccer at UOP.
Scholarship renewals for 2015 went to current Humboldt State lineman Lucas Govan, Long Beach State distance ace Alex Lathos, UC Irvine water polo sniper Allie Loomis and Creighton volleyball middle blocker Lizzy Stivers.
