The recent North Salinas graduate has accepted a full ride softball scholarship to Division I Grace University in Omaha, Nebraska.
Salazar has been the Vikings starting catcher for the last four years. Hitting in the cleanup spot, the right-handed slugger hit two homers last spring, leading the team in runs batted in.
Salazar will be part of the first recruiting class for the Royals, who will play their inaugural season in the National Christian College Athletic Association.
