Did we see enough in Seaside to believe it is a title contender in the Gabilan Division?
I think so.
I'm still puzzled why the Spartans (3-1) played just four non-league games.
Then again, I'm not sure this team needed a lot of preseason action to gear up for league. Most of this team has been together since grade school.
And Seaside does not run a complicated system.
Salinas is a mystery team. It has looked dominate at times and lost on other occasions. It's also had 10 days to stew over a loss to North Salinas.
The Cowboys won't face a quicker and perhaps more aggressive team than the Spartans. Salinas has to be able to handle the pressure at the top.
