Salinas girls hoops

After a 1-5 stretch during the non-league season, Salinas appears to have found the right chemistry on the court, having rattled off three straight wins.
None was more impressive than its Gabilan Division opening 52-28 win over Seaside, in which it held a 33-6 halftime lead.
The Cowboys have been balanced on offense and stingy on defense, having held their last two opponents to an average of 29.5 points.
Defense is the centerpiece to Salinas' success. In four of its overall wins this year, it has held four teams under 30 points
With Monte Vista and North Salinas coming up next week, the Cowboys have to be careful tonight   not to look past an injury depleted San Benito squad.
