A cast of unknowns gets thrown around a lot.
Yet, look at the Chieftains and that's exactly what you have.
For the first time in a decade, the Chieftains don't have a league MVP caliber player or a Division I prospect -- at least not yet.
No one is going to average 10 or more points a game. No one is going to take over a game. No one is going to average 30 minutes a game.
No one cares.
Discipline and defense are the disciples to dominance at Palma.
Need prove?
Last week the Chieftains held Seaside to 32 points in a 40-point blowout. Two days later, it goes to Christopher and shuts down its leading scorer, holding the team to 19 points through three quarters.
Each game a different player seems to find his shot. Last week Jack Brusa came off the bench and drained a pair of 3-point goals.
The problem for opponents is who do you stop?
A dozen players are going to see equal time this year.
