Only three teams remain unbeaten in the Mission Trail Athletic League.
And Pacific Grove and Soledad are two of them?
Surprised?
Both have new coaches, a new system and a few new faces.
What we know about the Breakers is they play defense. Last week they held Carmel scoreless in the first half in a 25-15 win.
Soledad was a streaky team in non-league play, running off four straight wins before dropping its final four non-league games.
Meg Paraguya has become one of the MTAL's elite scorers this winter while the Breakers have a scoring by committee approach led by Lilli Dawkins and Jessica Matthews.
Pacific Grove is 6-1 when holding teams under 40 points while Soledad is 5-1 when scoring 40 or more points.
