Defending Scattini Tournament champion Palma begins defense of its title tonight, hosting Pajaro Valley.
The field is stacked with St. Mary's of Berkeley, Santa Cruz Dads Tournament champion Santa Cruz, defending SCCAL champion Soquel and defending Gabilan Division champion San Benito.
Last year Soquel reached the State Northern California Division IV semifinals. But Santa Cruz beat Soquel last week at the Dad's Tournament.
Palma won the Scattini tournament title last year, beating San Benito in the finals. Four years ago it beat St. Mary's in the tournament title game.

Alvarez vs. San Benito, 3:30 p.m.
Santa Cruz vs. Capuchino, 5 p.m.
Soquel vs. St. Mary's, Berkeley, 6:45 p.m.
Pajaro Valley vs. Palma, 8:15 p.m.
