There are two games during the regular season that could have changed the course of the playoffs for both teams - potentially putting them up against each other in the first round instead of the title game.
Pacific Grove's fourth quarter rally to beat King City 42-41 on a fourth-down touchdown pass kept them from possibly being the No. 8 seed and facing the Gators in the first round.
And Sacred Heart potentially could have been a No. 2 seed and faced Pacific Grove in the opening round had it not rallied from a 12-0 fourth quarter deficit to beat Menlo-Atherton 15-12 in Week 6.
