Monterey hoops II

How do you replace nearly 23 points a game -- or 40 percent of your offense from one player?
 You don't.
Instead, you spread it out over your roster and look for players to contribute.
The cupboard is not bare at Monterey as sophomore Carter Aldrete returns along with Austin Shake. Both will be asked to take more shots this winter.
Aldrete, who started as a freshman, will torch teams on the perimeter if left alone.
Nine players are back for the Toreadores, including David Kim, who is averaging just under 14 points a game in the preseason.
Learning to finish teams comes with maturity. Monterey failed to hold a 12-point fourth quarter lead, falling in overtime to Valley Christian.
