The first thing I see on this roster is athletes. Lots of them.
Now, how many of them are seasonal basketball players?
In a league with a lot of balance, throw the Mustangs name into the hat in the Mission Trail Athletic League.
King City has a starting point to work with in returning all-leaguer Trent Salcido, who averaged over 13 points a game last year as a forward.
Thomas Flores and DeAndre Sharif are two players that provided significant minutes last season for the 9-13 Mustangs at the guard positions.
Yet, the one player that can compliment Salcido is 6-foot-4 Dominic Rose. The junior could be a menace on the boards in league, which could result in second and third shots for King City.
King City also brought up sophomore Jovany Garcia. Most teams don't bring up underclassmen to sit and watch.
