The former Palma High and Monterey Peninsula College quarterback will get a chance to enhance his NFL draft stock when he takes part in the Senior Bowl on Jan. 25 in Mobile.
Fales, who has or shares 28 San Jose State school records, threw for 8,382 yards in two seasons with the Spartans, tossing 66 touchdown passes.
Projected anywhere between a third or seventh round draft choice in next April's NFL draft, Fales was 17-8 over two seasons at San Jose State.
The 6-foot-3 221-pounder is the first Monterey County athlete from San Jose State to be invited to the Senior Bowl since linebacker Dave Chaney in 1971.
Chaney, who prepped at King City and spent time in the CFL, is now a teacher at Carmel High.
