The format for Friday's Monterey County High School All-Star football game has changed.
No longer is it an East-West/Peninsula-Valley battle.
In an effort to balance the teams and combat any animosity, the teams are divided equally and are practicing together this week at Salinas High.
The results have been positive.
Nearly 70 players are expected to fill out the rosters, and all but three teams among the 17 in the county are represented.
