No. 6 Scotts Valley (8-2) vs. No. 3 Carmel (10-0) at Pacific Grove, 7 p.m.
 The 47.2 points per game average in 10 regular season games is a new Monterey County record for the Padres, who are 10-0 for the third time in five years.
 Carmel's first ever playoff win came in 2009 against Scotts Valley when it posted a 61-28 decision en route to a CCS Division IV title.
 Holden Smith is over 1,000 yards rushing for the third straight year for the Padres while quarterback Connor Marden is over 2,000 passing yards for the second straight year.
 Scotts Valley's only setbacks are to Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League champion Aptos and Nevada state power Spanish Springs.
 Jake Rehnberg has rushed for 2,018 yards for the Falcons and 15 touchdowns, while Willie Johnston has piled up just under 800 yards and 12 touchdowns.
 Johnston also leads the team with 32 catches and seven touchdowns. Scotts Valley has scored 40 or more points five times this year.
