Carmel-Pacific Grove notes

No. 7 Pacific Grove (10-1) vs. No. 3 Carmel (11-0)
 The two long-time peninsula rivals have never played each other in the playoffs.
 Pacific Grove needs 25 points to break the all-time single season school scoring record of 518 points. It has not been held under 35 points all season.
 Carmel is 11-0 for the third time in five years. The previous two years, it reached the CCS finals.
 The Padres are 1-1 in the postseason at Monterey Peninsula College. Pacific Grove is 1-0.
 Both teams have won one CCS divisional title.
 Carmel quarterback Connor Marden and Pacific Grove signal caller Luke Lowell have both thrown for over 2,000 yards.
 Holden Smith is over 1,000 yards and 20 rushing touchdowns for the third straight year for the Padres. Jason Leach is over 1,000 rushing yards for Pacific Grove.
 The Breakers have outscored opponents 174-34 in the first quarter.
 Zack Brown and Austin Lord have combined for 16 sacks this year for Pacific Grove. Shane Lackey has 100 tackles and four picks for Carmel.
