Having reclaimed his starting job at second base in conference play, the sophomore has taken over the team lead in stolen bases for the Hawaii Rainbows baseball team.
Ventimilia, who started every game last year as a freshman, has climbed into the top five on the team in runs scored, runs batted in and sacrifices.
Ventimilia, who earned all-league honors at Monterey High in baseball, track, tennis and football, has handled 126-of-129 chances at second base this spring for a .977 fielding percentage.
