State track

Seaside sprinter Jayla Scholis will go into Friday's state meet needing to shave some more time if she hopes to reach Saturday's finals.
The Central Coast Section 100 meter champion will go into the prelims ranked 15th overall at 12.05. The senior is also ranked 15th in the 200 at 24.47.
CCS 100 hurdles champion Jessica Davis ran unchallenged over the final 50 meters in winning the race in a season best 14.73.
That won't be the case on Friday as the King City senior is ranked 21st overall. Last year Davis went to the state meet in the 300 low hurdles.
Aptos distance ace Nikki Hiltz is seeded No. 1 in the state in the 800 at 2:09.50. She is No. 2 in the 1,600 at 4:44.93, a stride behind SCCAL rival Anna Maxwell of San Lorenzo Valley.
