One thing both teams have in common is their 16-11 overall records.
The Knights, though, sizzled down the stretch, going 8-1 and winning the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League tournament.
 Seaside was just 1-7 against teams with a winning record this season, beating West Sierra League champion Firebaugh.
 Four of Soquel's losses were to teams that won league titles.
 Seaside had five players steal over 20 bases this year, including Maxx Usrey, who finished with 41. He also lead the team in hits (45) and runs scored (41).
 Fabiano Hale, who piled over 2,400 rushing yards and 40 touchdowns last fall for Soquel, led the baseball team in runs batted in this spring.
