Alisal-Bellarmine soccer

CCS Division I soccer finals
Bellarmine vs. Alisal at Oak Grove High, San Jose.

The Bells have caught fire at the right time, having gone 10-0-2 in their last 12 games, including a 3-1 win over Carlmont in the CCS semifinals.
Of course, Alisal has been on fire for nearly three years, having gone 51 straight games without a loss -- minus penalty kick outcomes.
The nationally ranked Trojans erased a few demons on Wednesday with their 5-4 penalty kick win over rival Alvarez.
During its current run, Bellarmime has outscored opponents 27-8. Meanwhile Alisal has allowed 11 goals all season.
Daniel Figueroa has stepped up in the postseason for Alisal with three goals -- one more than he had during the regular season.
Bellarmine is a more physical team. A common opponent is Mitty, who Alisal beat 2-1 on Dec. 22. Bellarmine went 0-2-1 against Mitty in the West Catholic Athletic League.
Two of the last three CCS Division I titles have come from either Bellarmine or Alisal.
