Carmel's school record 13-game winning streak, which came to an end on Saturday, is the longest in Monterey County since the turn of the millennium.
Prior to that, Pacific Grove won 12 straight during its CCS title run in 2001. Palma also won 12 straight between 2000-2001, and nine straight between 2001-2002.
Stevenson won 10 straight during its first Mission Trail Athletic League title run in 2000, and Salinas won nine straight between 2001-2002
Seaside, which won eight straight during its CCS title run in 2006, has the longest current streak at five.
With the exception of Stevenson's magical year, all these streaks coincided with section titles.
