Former Colorado Rockies farmhand Brian Kirkpatrick will be inducted Friday into the King City Hall of Fame.
Kirkpatrick made a name for himself on the football field at King City, throwing for nearly 2,800 yards during his senior year. He was also a standout pitcher and catcher.
Also being inducted at halftime of Friday's King City-Coast Union game will be pitcher Teresa Cummings, who set numerous pitching records for the Mustangs.
Joining the pair will be the 1990 King City volleyball team, the first team in Monterey County to reach the state volleyball finals.
Debbie Hudson, who coached the team, becomes the first individual to be inducted into the King City Hall of Fame as an athlete and coach.
