Four big questions tonight

Will Alvarez's bubble burst tonight at Monterey?
This is a statement game for both teams. A win for the Eagles sets up a showdown next week with unbeaten North County. Yes, the Condors will still be unbeaten. And Monterey doesn't want to go into its anticipated battle with Carmel with a loss.
Will St. Joseph of Santa Maria be Palma's biggest test?
No. That was St. Francis last week. St. Joseph may have been 12-1 last year. But it's not the same team. Don't get me wrong, they're still good. But not that good.
Is Pacific Grove on the road to recovery?
A full season under head coach Chris Morgan has made the Breakers better. While this team does have some senior leadership, its offense revolves around a sophomore quarterback. Don't be mislead by St. Francis Catholic's 0-2 start.
Does Gonzales snap its 14-game losing streak?
It's going to happen at some point this year. So why not tonight at home? Last week's 28-20 loss to Santa Maria was a moral boast for a program trying to change its direction. Plus Riverdale is mired in an 11-game losing streak.
