No. 10 Greenfield: I know the schedule is soft. But running back Daniel Breaux could run for a lot of teams.
No. 9 North Salinas: At 0-2 and facing defending CCS Large School champion Milpitas, the Vikings are in need of a shot in the arm.
No. 8 Alvarez: How well the Eagles respond this week after suffering their first loss could dictate their season.
No. 7 Salinas: After giving up 76 points in its first two games, Salinas' defense shutout Santa Teresa, who was previously unbeaten.
No. 6. North County: Through three games, the Condors are averaging 48 points a game. I wouldn't hand that MBL title to Seaside just yet.
No. 5 Carmel: Two weeks to get ready for Monterey might have been one week to long after suffering a loss to Menlo.
No. 4. Monterey: The Toreadores' defense has helped create short fields for the offense.
No. 3. San Benito: In its two wins, San Benito has outscored the opposition 89-7.
No. 2. Palma: The two teams Palma has faced are a combined 4-1-1, with the loss and tie coming from the Chieftains.
No. 1. Seaside: What makes this team dangerous is it can bring in four receivers and throw on one series, then go back to a more conventional offense and pound the ball.
