The first thing that crossed my mind after the 49ers scored to tie the game with 1:23 left was you left to much time on the clock for Drew Brees and the Saints.
But if we learned anything about Monday's game, it's that quarterback Alex Smith can play in crunch time.
When the 49ers run the ball, Smith can pick a part defenses with his arm and legs. It's time for 49ers fans to support this guy.
With road games against unbeaten Kansas City and Atlanta, the road doesn't get any easier for San Francisco. But you know what, it could start the year 0-4 and still win this division.
